Shimmer Cubes Palette 18

With the weather beginning to warm up a bit, it’s the perfect time to pull out that shimmering makeup that’s been hiding out in your drawer since Christmas. Summer weather and bronzed skin is the perfect backdrop for shimmery makeup, and our Shimmer Cubes Pallette 18 has 4 softer shades for summer.

I think the thing that surprises people most about the shimmer cubes set is how pigmented they are. Check out the photo below for evidence.

Most people think of shimmery makeup as being very subtle, but our Shimmer Cubes are a pretty diverse act. You can layer them over other shadow colors for added shimmer or wear them dry for a more subtle, daytime look. They give you the most bang for your buck when you apply them with a wet brush, though. Then you get a super intense, pigmented metallic shadow with major impact.

This is my dry application, daytime look:

And this is the super intense wet application look:

(I’m wearing Define & Lengthen Mascara in black, by the way, but I’ll show you our mascaras in another post coming up). Check out the shine on those suckers! I’ve got darker skin, so it was the perfect contrast for a summer night out look.

  • Advanced Tip – Here’s a Chase Aston tip that I learned recently: take the Vitamin E Face Mist, and spray a little bit in the cap. Then take your Eyeshadow Brush and dip it into the mist before packing on your Eye Shimmer. The mist helps to wet and set the shadow in one easy step. Then you can spray it over your entire face when you’re finished applying to set the whole look.

The Shimmer Cubes come individually packaged in a larger container, that way you can pop a color out and take it with you for touch ups. Simple. And shimmery!
