Men’s Skin Care Tips
In the past, taking care of one’s skin was seen as something that only women were concerned about. The industry mainly focused on female consumers, tailoring their products and packaging to match what women wanted and needed, thus neglecting the skin care needs of half the population! 
Fortunately, things are different these days, and men are just as savvy about their need to keep their skin healthy and cared for. But men’s skin is very different than women’s, with different problem areas and needs, so when it comes to caring for men’s skin, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Razor burn is a really painful side effect of the harsh daily shave that men’s skin must endure. Because of this constant scraping, skin can stay irritated and tender, making the next day even worse. In order to soothe the ravages of shaved skin, invest in a protective, smoothing aftershave balm with Aloe. Aloe is a natural healing agent that will keep razor burn from making your daily shave miserable.
- Another way to prevent razor burn is to use a wet shaving set, which includes a shaving brush, a rich shave cream, and an extra sharp razor, preferably not one of the disposable ilk. Having the proper tools means you get a closer and cleaner shave in less time, and our guys over at The Art of Manliness agree. - When it comes to taking care of men’s chronically harassed facial skin, ditch the bar soap, guys! Your skin takes a beating all day long, and doesn’t deserve to be dried out by harsh bar soaps, which can strip out natural oils. Instead, use a face wash that dissolves dirt and oil while conditioning and moisturizing. Dry skin can be the root of flakey, irritated skin that breaks out, so the more gently you care for it, the clearer it will be.
- Once you’ve readied your face to go out into the world, it’s time to protect it. Sunscreen should be a non-negotiable part of your skin care regime, with the UV rays in our environment today. Sunscreen protects you from those wrinkles that develop around your eyes and mouth, and more importantly, from skin cancer. Hi,
I have sensitive skin and often get razor burn. There are some great tips in there for preventing it but do you have any suggestions on how to clear it up quickly?

We have actually formulated our Maca Root Razor Relief for just such a purpose.
Smooth some on immediately after shaving to soothe skin!

Why did you change your shaving cream? The original was a good product, why do you have to mess with things. My husband and I both enjoyed the original shave cream for about a decade, now we have to find something else. Its really disappointing to see a company suddenly stop providing a skin care product without any consideration to those have grown to rely on such a product. It takes a while to find one that doesn’t irritate the skin, and then for some unknown reason it is no longer available. Have a heart and bring back the original
