Makeup Tips For Every Decade
We all know that as we mature, our skin will undergo changes that will require us to modify our makeup and skincare regimes. And rightly so, as looks that are flattering on a young woman may not accentuate the beauty of mature skin in the right ways. Below are a few tips to keep your skin looking and feeling its best, no matter what your actual age.
- In your 20’s… Be light-handed with the powder and foundation. Your skin is typically smooth and fresh looking, so show it off in all of its natural glory! Opt instead for a spot concealer for blemishes and let your real beauty shine through.
- In your 30’s… Eyes can tend to look tired quite easily, so focus on keeping them looking open and refreshed. Pay close attention to covering dark under eye circles, and perfect the shape and arch in your brow to give a more “opened” look.
- In your 40’s… Be sure you are taking careful care of your skin. Tiredness and sun damage really begins to be visible in your 40’s. Try using a creamy highlighter or illuminating concealer to make skin appear fresh and bright.
- In your 50’s… Makeup looks should be simple and understated, especially eye shadow, which can make eyes appear more sunken. Face and eye primers help to temporarily fill-in wrinkles and allow makeup to be applied on a smooth surface.
