I’m as Polished as Posh

As I paged through my October issue of Elle Magazine the other evening, imagine my glee as I read that Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice and I had a couple of things in common.  I’ve admired for a while now how she has transformed herself from pop superstar to a savvy business woman while maintaining her fabulous fashionista persona.

Besides our love of fragrance, clothes, and shoes, Posh and I are both addicted to beauty products, in particular our award winning Body Butter.  She loves Vitamin E Body Butter, as well as Mango Body Butter (she touts her love for it this month too in the October issue of Marie Claire) and I can’t get enough of our Shea Body Butter.  She likes how Body Butter keeps her skin soft, and says “I’ve got someone making household calls for my spray tanning; I use this to maintain my color”.  I like how Body Butter melts into my skin, leaving it silky, smooth and moisturized and the fragrance doesn’t overpower or conflict with my perfume.

Another thing that makes our Body Butter so amazing is the quality.  We source ingredients from Community Trade partners around the world, getting top notch raw ingredients such as shea butter.  Shea butter is one of nature’s great moisturizers. Ghanaian women have used it for centuries to protect their skin from the dry Saharan winds. So who better to buy ours from than the Tungteiya Shea Butter Association, Northern Ghana. An association of around 400 women from 10 villages, we ensure a fair price for their product. Since trading with The Body Shop the women have been able to dramatically change their lives with water pipes and wells saving hours of water collecting, better housing, medical care, food, and self esteem. Importantly, they are also able to give their children, particularly their daughters, the chance to go to school.

Besides having fabulously smooth skin, and being fabulous women. Posh and I are helping improve the lives of other women around the world.  I think that’s pretty fantastic!

  1. I’ve never tried Shea body butter. Would give it a try and report the results.. I read it some where that shea butter is good for stretch skin (after pregnancy).
