How To Get The Look - Coconut Community Trade Inspired

This week’s How To Get The Look is inspired by our newly kicked-off celebration of Community Trade Coconut Oil. There are some browns and creams, along with just a hint of light, summery blues. It’s a good way to wear subtle but lively tones, in case you’re stuck in a bit of a color rut.

  • Prime your eyelids! I cannot stress enough how important it is to do this in the summer time. Otherwise you end up with creased and melting eye makeup at the end of the day. Start every look with Matte It Face & Lips.

Eyes

  • Use the Eyeshadow Brush to really pack on Eye Color Shade 33: Aquamarine onto the center of your eye. This is a gorgeous shade, so don’t worry about using too much, because you’re going to blend it out quite a bit.

  • Next, take the Eyeshadow Blender Brush and use Eye Color Shade 05: Brown to define your outer corner and crease. Bring the color down just under your eyelid, but resist the urge to blend too much! That comes later.

  • Touch Eye Shimmer Shade 02: Gold to your tear ducts and just below your eyebrows as a subtle highlight. Now you can take your Eyeshadow Blender Brush and blend all of the colors together for a softer look.
  • Use a Slanted Brush and use Eye Color Shade 33: Aquamarine to line underneath your eyes for an added pop of color.

Face

  • Use the Blusher Brush to sweep Cheek Color Shade 04: Golden Pink over the apples of your cheeks. You want a nice subtle bronzey pink to compliment this look, nothing too showy.

  • For my lips I put on one coat of the Sheer Lip Shine Shade 03: Strawberry for a hint of color. The best part is that it actually smells like Strawberry!
