Celebrating the “Yes Yes Yes!” Campaign in NYC

In order to help promote the message for our “Yes Yes Yes!” Campaign, we teamed up with our partner, MTV, to bring a bit of the safe sex love to New York City’s Times Square. Being the thriving bed of eccentricity that it is, Times Square happily housed our press event to spread awareness about safe sex and our campaign.

We started the day at Meet, where we were excited to have the talented Solange Knowles on hand, tweeting about the campaign. She also snapped photos with our models, who were milling about in pajamas with “Yes!” printed on them, as well as answering some questions from the media. Dr. Sari Locker, who is Durex condoms’ resident sex expert, was also on hand for the technical how’s and why’s.

If you’ve ever been to New York City, then you’re familiar with The Naked Cowboy. He’s the guy that stands on 42nd Street in his underwear playing the guitar, so he’s hard to miss. Well, we even managed to get The Naked Cowboy in on the safe sex action, dressing him in a pair of “Yes” pajama pants while he sang “Yes Yes Yes!” to safe sex with his trademark guitar. He had an entourage of models around him, distributing Durex condoms and informational pamphlets to people walking by. A sight to behold, for sure.

Fortunately, we had some photographers on hand to take photos so that you could live vicariously if you missed the event, and as you can see, a good time was had by all.
