• Spa etiquette is a slippery concept. Different spas have different customs, so there really isn’t a blanket set of rules that apply when you visit for a spa treatment. However, there are a few specific things one should definitely not do when in a relaxing spa setting. Read this hilarious true account of spa misbehavior over at Beaut.ie Blog. It’s a giggle-inducing cautionary tale.

• If you aren’t careful when you’re swiping out those coats of mascara, you’ll wind up with little spatters underneath your eyelid. My mascara is typically the last thing that goes on my eyes, leaving me vulnerable to the spatters that quickly turn into smears. Elke Von Freudenberg has a quick (and really simple) trick that she’s shared over at her blog for removing without raccooning.

• I love heavily scented shampoos and conditioners because they make my hair smell delicious…for a couple of hours. After that I’m left wondering what happened to the heavenly scent that made me buy it in the first place. Hair Apparent has a pretty genius tip for keeping your tresses smelling delicious, and so simple that I wish I’d thought of it myself!

• If you’re like me, you typically leave your eye makeup until the very end. I was taught that your foundation and base makeup should go on before you start in on your eye routine. But BellaSugar has a suggestion that makes so much more sense: do eyes first. Makes those awful messes of smears and smudges so much easier to take care of!

• While I cannot deny an affinity for the sparkly stuff, I still think that flowers are some of the most beautiful accessories a woman can have. And if the season makes it a bit difficult to tuck one behind your ear, try the even more eco-friendly option of fake flowers. Beauty and Style Buzz suggests a few gorgeous looks for showcasing nature’s natural beauties.
