Beauty Round-Up

It’s time again for another Beauty Round-up, where we take some of the best from the web’s beauty blogs and beyond and put them all in one place. The Body Shop is always interested to see what other beauty blogs are discovering.

  • Tips for a Clearer Face - From the blog Naturally Beautiful Me, here are some tips on helping your face stay clean and clear. As it turns out, actually reading the directions on acne treatments is a great place to start. Also, being gentle to your face rather than scrubbing the heck out of it might actually do you a lot of good.
  • How to Paint Your Nails – This should be a no-brainer for most of us by now, but nonetheless, I still see the nails of friends and family that look like the polish was applied with a mop. Beaut.ie gives us tips that you can feel free to pass on to friends who may be victimizing their nails by slopping on globs of polish.
  • Coffee Makes Your Breasts Smaller – I nearly did a spit take when I read this article. Good thing for my monitor that I wasn’t actually drinking coffee when I saw the headline. Makeup Moxie gives some great info about how drinking coffee in excess (3 or more cups a day) can decrease the size of your tatas. Don’t swear off coffee altogether, though, as regular caffeine can help to reduce the risk of breast cancer.
  • Spa Style Facials – Do it at Home Naturally – Overall beauty has all the steps and ingredients to help you create a spa style facial right at home. You probably have most of the ingredients in your cupboard right now, including honey, lemon juice, and almond oil. We’re all for naturally helping your skin, and if you can do it on the cheap with items you have anyway, then why not, right?
  • Top 10 Wacky Beauty Tips That Actually Work – Tea bag on splotches? Say what? Toothpaste on a zit? Puh-lease! You’ve heard some of these old-wives tales before, but it seems like some of those old-wives knew what they were talking about. These ten “wacky” tips from WatchMojo.com will explain these unorthodox treatments that can do a lot of good for staying beautiful frugally and naturally.
