4 Time Saving Beauty Tips
These days, time is more valuable than ever, because no one seems to have any! We are all trying to do the maximum in the minimum amount of time, using tips and tricks to shave off a few minutes here and there.
Your beauty regime is something that can take up a lot of time, if you let it. Everyone loves to pamper herself by really taking the time to do an elaborate getting-ready routine, but most people just don’t have that kind of time. Especially on weekday mornings.
Just because you’re in a hurry, doesn’t mean you have to leave your beauty routine in the dust. Here are 4 easy tips for saving time without sacrificing your look.
- No Muss, No Fuss Hair – Get a haircut that works with your lifestyle. Not only one that frames your face properly, but one that only requires as much time as you have to invest. Talk to your stylist beforehand and outline how much time, energy and product you’re willing to use in getting your hair to look like it’s supposed to. The blog Fabulously 40 and Beyond offers a few other suggestions that might help shave off the minutes.
- Multitasking Makeup – In order to maximize it’s use, have your makeup pull double duty. Choose a product that can be used for more than one function, like our Lip and Cheek Stain, which gives a subtle wash of color. As an added benefit, if you have to grab it and run, you’re only grabbing one tube rather than several.
- Pre-Game Hair – If your styling regime is taking forever in the morning, then do it the night before. Style your hair, sleep on it, and when you wake up in the morning, take a volumizing mousse or spray and run a bit through your hair. Finger style hair into place, scrunching a bit, and go. This works for most styles that don’t need to be super precise, and gives that slightly tousled, just-out-of-bed look…literally!
- Quick Blast – Give your eyeliner and lip gloss a quick blast of heat from your blow dryer before applying them. This will soften them up and make your applications smooth, eliminating the need to go back over and reapply. Once you’ve finished your abbreviated make up routine, finish your look with a quick spritz of Vitamin E Face Mist, which is excellent for setting your make up for the day. Just spray it on to seal your look for the day, no reapplication necessary!
