10 Tips For A Good Night In Bed

At The Body Shop, we hold to a set of beliefs that we call our Core Values; values that helped to build and strengthen the company. One of those values is protecting human rights, which means helping to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS by partnering with MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation for our “Yes Yes Yes!” campaign for safe sex.

But aside from spreading the word about staying safe, we want to highlight the fact that sex is also fun! Creating an enjoyable experience while staying healthy and safe is the perfect way to enhance your self-esteem, and learn to love your body even more. Below are 10 tips to help you get the most out of a sexy night in bed.

  • Be Scent-ual – Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years to help enhance romance and heighten arousal. Burning essential oils creates a warm, sensual ambiance, specifically the scents vanilla, lavender, and sandalwood. A study showed that adult men were most aroused by the simple smell of vanilla!
  • Mood Music – Music helps to set any mood. And it doesn’t have to be anything cheesy or obvious, it can be whatever kind of music helps get you in an intimate mindset. Keep it low in the background, so that it isn’t obvious and doesn’t interfere with your romance.
  • Kiss – Remember when you were younger, and kissing seemed like the most exciting thing in the world? Try to recapture that feeling by brushing up on some of your kissing techniques. Kissing is more than just a means to an end, and by taking the time to sweetly enjoy your partner’s lips, you’ll set the pace for a sensual evening.
